Today is a very sad day, but the memories will always be of the happy times and I know they will be with me for a very long time yet. There has never been and probably never will be a guild that is as special as Sol Eternum was for me. Thank you for all the years of fun, growth and exploration. Thanks to all those members way back when I was an initiate and who voted me in! Love to Grey, Gara, Skry and all the officers through SE history.
Striker's Mark & Ancient Petrified Leaf were what I got on my very first raid. 7 days later and I'd bled the very rocks dry of effort in order to get Rhok'delar, Longbow of the Ancient Keepers. Chain pulling MC in 40 minutes? No problem! Little did we know that such a spell as misdirect would one day be in the game and fully exploited as we whittled down Kaelthas Sunstrider.
I've still got my full gorgeous set of T2 and my Onyxia Scale Cloak <made> (and of course my dress collection and bikini outfit for the dreaded AQ40) do you? |

I'd like to say thank you so much to Sol Eternum. While there has been challenges over the last while, I'd like to tell you all that I had a blast, that you all mean something to me and that I'll miss this greatly.
Please Please stay in touch, and if SE decides to reform in the future please include me in the plans. I'll post my email in the private forums where bots cant get it (I hope!).
Thank you Skry, Ath, Tao and Hurt so much for trying. I know it was especially hard on you guys, and for what it's worth a lot of people know this and appreciated you guys for what you did.
For those that stuck it out - Thank you guys too. Keep your heads up and know that you did the right thing. I certainly understand that not everyone had the patience to stick it out, and for those people I have absolutely no hard feelings at all.
Thanks for the memories Sol E |

Here, a trip down memory lane just for you Wildcard [tongue-in-cheek] -
Oh wait, you don't remember reading this? lol
Big thanks to Tao for helping with the Kael strat. I was overhwhelmed and tired of working on it, but then Tao took it and made it readable and workable. Having all that work pay off when we killed him was the most enjoyable part of the game for me. I also didn't envy Ath's job of working out the assignment macro from hell. I'm sure there are others that contributed heavily to that kill. But I still don't understand why I didn't get moved into a group with the staff buff...
Seriously though, SE is stopping raiding or what?

Yeah, I'm afraid that link is in the members section Aule, so we can't see it.
On the topic of best strategy explanation ever.... how about Tagan's verbal walkthrough for the first time we reached the Shade of Aran fight in KZ? Damn, I wish I had that recorded. |

wow, I didn't know you guys called it quits. You did an awesome job over the years I was there running the guild, I can only imagine the huge amounts of time and effort spent by the officers of this guild keeping track of loot, dkp, strats and keeping the members from killing each other.
I'm sorry that my path in WoW really never lead me back here, but SE was never forgotten.
If anyone from the guild who knew me continues to play wow and winds up on malfurion, I now play horde there on my druid - Ursinebovine.
Good luck to you all! |
